# Charging & Battery

Due to certification costs, EarthOne has opted out of providing charging adapters for this first version of the Plant Monitor. 
EarthOne Plant Monitors can be charged using standard 5W Power Adapters (5V, 1A).

Please see the image below for an example of a compatible power adapter.

||| **EarthOne Plant Monitors will __not__ work with Fast Charging or High Wattage Power Adapters. **

You will know that this is the case if a RED/GREEN LED does not come on when connected to a charging cube. If this is the case, please find a compatible Power Adapter with similar specifications mentioned above.
